Simon Rayner and Adrian Long became partners in May 2017. Alan Baxter became a consultant in May 2001 & retired in 2005. Mike Lewis became a consultant in May 2017. In 2012 we opened a branch office in Poole, Dorset. The practice has worked on a wide variety of new and refurbishment projects for a broad base of clients. Design work has been successfully carried out for schools, offices, communal bodies, industrial companies, domestic and social housing. Particular expertise has been built up in structural surveys of existing buildings, site investigations and foundation design for low rise buildings. The practice has undertaken work in all parts of the UK. A good percentage of local work has allowed us to gain a detailed knowledge of ground conditions and historic construction methods in the South East and London. The firm is made up of approximately ten experienced Engineers, who maintain a close involvement with clients and other professionals during all stages of a project. Our basic aim is to provide elegant, efficient and economic structural engineering design. The firm is wholly owned by the partners, whose advice is independent and free from any commercial bias or connection. The firm has a wide experience of working on historic buildings and is a member of both SPAB and ASCHB.
