Ray Timson of DMC Structural Reporting Ltd is a chartered structural engineer (MIStructE) who for 30 years has been specialising in the area of low rise residential properties. He has a long history of reporting on buildings of all ages including those with Listed Status. In particular, he prepares structural reports and surveys often in response to mortgage valuation queries raised in the process of buying a property. He also provides reports to serve the building owner in matters of a possible subsidence claim for building insurance purposes. He is regularly involved with Party Wall procedures, in acting for the building owner or the adjoining owner and with a good understanding of proposed works of excavations, foundations and steel beams that form a proposed project and relevant to the notifiable works as required under the Party Wall etc Act, 1996.
