SKM Planning & Design Ltd is an insured practice comprising a Chartered Civil and Chartered Structural Engineer. We provide expertise in planning, design and construction issues. We provide services for residential and commercial properties. As well as new build, advice can be provided for repair and alterations to existing buildings.

STRUCTURAL REPORTS - Structural reports and surveys (including photos and calculations) can be produced at short notice for properties being valued for mortgage applications. Reports clarify and resolve concerns identified in valuation surveys, describing remedial works where appropriate.

STRUCTURAL CALCULATIONS - We provide structural calculations for specification of steel beams, timber joists, foundations etc. We design for structural arrangements in timber, concrete, steel, masonry bricks and blockwork.

PLANNING APPLICATIONS - We prepare planning applications for domestic extensions, so can subsequently provide the planning & design drawings as a complete service. By appointing SKM Planning & Design during the planning stages of your project, architectural layouts can be coordinated to provide the ideal structural and spatial arrangement, helping to reduce costs and construction time.

BUILDING CONTROL APPLICATIONS - By submitting a Full Plans Building Control application, your construction drawings can be approved by the council prior to commencement of works. Pre-approved drawings enable more accurate quotations to be mad.
