Splinter Structures is a structural engineering consultancy based in Frome, Somerset. We are passionate about creating lean but robust structures. We love getting creative with the design of new structures, whether that be a house, a small extension or a bespoke sculpture. We like a variety of project sizes, to keep us on our toes, but always find the best results come from early collaboration with other architects and designers. We have experience with designing using all traditional construction materials, and even some unusual ones, but are most happy designing with timber. We have extensive knowledge of the environmental impact of construction materials, and can help advise how to achieve your project ambitions whilst keeping a minimal environmental footprint. As well as creating new ones, we also have many years of experience working with and repairing existing structures.
