Surveying, inspection and appraisal

It is essential that once built, structures continue to be assessed to ensure their structural integrity and any deterioration is minimised and then dealt with if necessary. Structural engineers tend not to use the term “Structural survey” – for homeowners it is better to refer to an RICS Home Survey Level 3, or a “Structural inspection report”. These engineers specialise in surveying, inspection and appraisal.
